Needs work

I just don't think there's much about this that's good, it's almost monotone, there's no detail, and the proportions are off. I don't mean to offend but this looks like a base or a rough draft, needs some work.

Textures are NOT a synoym of detail

They sure are a nice way to give it a finishing touch, yet, by barly overviewing you can see many bad aspects...

The good:
-Nice coloring
-Fitting background, really nice smokescreen effects!
-HUGE full view, I think could do as a screensaver

The bad (sorry)
-Light sources; ok the hammer's thundering right? The it's pretty logical that some light comes from there, makes it lose the "sparky" efect.
-Arms are a bit out of proportion.
-The chestplate and helmet look as if they were a single piece, in result, a bit iilogical, I mean, which warrior doen't needs a moving neck?
-The dragon looks much like a blanket with... eyes?

Keep up the good work man!

Excellent!

You really can't appreciate this as much without the fullview. Really loving the little details on the texture for the crasher's fabric, and the dragon's scales/skin, quite impressive! Your use of perspective and depth using the castle in the background works really well also.

To have some crit, the lightning isn't really doing if for me for some reason, I think it may be how they look around the arms, but its nothing major that really takes away from the piece. Also, the background being red as well slightly takes away from having the crasher "pop out," but I know you were going for a darkish/red/evil sorta theme here, so its all good.

Looking through your other work, it is blatantly obvious that you are improving, and this is definitely my favorite of your work to date! Keep at it!

Thanks, And I agree, the fullview works better. Lets just hope it gets in the calender, where all those details can really be appreciated ;p
About the lightning: yeah that was an ass, I originally had it only around the mace, but that looked stupid because there was too little of it. Having lightning powers is not really something you can show in small details... Red background; Yeah I guess so, but indeed this was how the picture looked in my head (atmosphere-wise) so I wouldnt change it. Although I will keep it in mind for the next time.
Thanks for the comment, and the crits.
