I've been working on this game concept of trying to intensify a simple game like pong with just graphics, but otherwise keeping the gameplay the same.
You might ask why I made one pad a weird looking box of flesh, well there's a story behind it.
Earth is about to be destroyed by an unstoppable robot force who have decided to battle it out with a game of pong (you see, the alien robots are actually ancestors of the old Pong AI who have left Earth long ago, but still kept the game in their memory banks. It is their most fundamental bit of knowledge). They chose you to battle the PongTron1000 using atomic game balls, but their regulations require you to have specific dimensions, therefore you are compacted into a somewhat rectangular shape in order to qualify. First player to send 50 atom bombs to the other planet wins
Both the fleshy and metal pads are fully animated and I got the space background started. I'm not exactly sure if I should change the starfield to a vector bg instead so it flows with the style. Any suggestions would be great.
As for programming this puppy, I was thinking I could do it myself since it's pretty simple, but because I'm going to have a few graphic elements to work with the code, I don't think I've got enough knowledge to incorporate those things without help. I might need someone to work with this after I get the graphics done.
