Another 6 foot tall charcoal drawing... I need a new camera..

Apart from the fact that the quality and style of the drawing is awsome, I Iove almost every detail here, specially the foot crushing the skull against what I'm going to gess is another bible.
¿Can you explain the stairway?¿is he guarding it?
