This was my second oil painting homework but it is actually my third oil painting.
I am thinking that I am alergic to the oils I am using because I get really fatigued around them and even sneeze a lot, however I also think I am getting a light cold. I guess I will know by the end of the semester.
The doll was my Mom's and then I just looked around for stuff that look Japanese. The coins are actual Japanese Yen I had left over when I left Okinawa years ago.

The piece is gorgeous; however I would advise you to invest in some smaller tipped paintbrushes for detail work- the egg especially looks like it could use a finer point. As to oil painting, if your teacher is having you work with turpentine i would recommend switching to gamsol oil, which is slightly less toxic and does the same job. Good luck- as much as oil painting frustrates me, I'd hate to be unable to paint without getting sick.
