Back Story: Born to a poor country family with many children, Riley wasn't the most favored from the bunch. Though she tried to prove herself over and over again, it only proved to be a waste of time. Her family lived poorly, however she dreamed, like most any child, of going to places far across and away from the drab place she was in. Soldiers from the near-by settlement decided to cause a ruckus with her village, so they set the nearby farms on fire. Trying her hardest to save the animals from the barn she rushed in, and successfully released them. However it cost her dearly; she was trampled on by the two horses they owned. As the horses ran in fright, Riley was knocked unconscious and left to die. Fortunately, her neighbor found her and saved her. With her family's land gone, her family dispersed leaving her the only one there. thankfully, her neighbor was kind enough to let her stay, nursed her back to health, and let her work in his shop. He taught her how to feel the steel and learn how to forge small things. Though it took years, she managed to create a simple sword and armor. She had saved up enough to get a eye surgery that allowed her to see shapes and colors. Her scarred skin made it difficult, but it was mildly successful. Frustrated with her lack of sight, she decided she would make it on her own. She packed up her little belongings and left to explore the world with her limited eyesight.
