this is my final experimental work for start making concept art for my comic. in this piece I pay more attention to lightning and texture than to character design but anyway hope you like it :D

Critique requested.

About the comic:

in this picture we see some of the characters from the comic

Ciel Remington: The red head girl I always draw :D

Justice: the girl seating on the top of the broken street

Yaris Crane: the girl on the left next to Remington

Jared: the dude with the armor

Leid-en: the bird with red eyes but he is actually a corrupted soul that get attached to Remington in a fight against Luu (one of his 7 souls)

(.P.D.)
this is just a small description for some of the characters and I still working with the story.

(P.P.D)

I look at the backgroung first , in every single art post .. I like the style all sci-fi and stuff.. but it is kinda strange.. empty.. also I zoomed on the girl sitting there on the background and she looks like an old woman.. like srsly.. maaaaybe just maybr I am seeing stuff.. I will give 4.5 though

immaboreddude responds:

maybe that's because she got lot of wet hair covering her face thats make her look a little strange I kinda forgot to highlight the hair strands, and also this is just an experimental work directed to texture and lightning but really thanks for the feedback
this kind of comments help me improve my works :D

Because critique was requested, I will say that I did notice one thing that bugged me more and more the longer I looked at it. The lighting is a little weird; I'm guessing that there is a light directly left off-screen, but there would be a few areas where that would cause confusion, like Justice's legs, the shine on Jared's muscles, and the shine on Remington's leg to the right of the screen. The pipe underneath the street appears to be reflecting light from a street lamp but no other light seems to be coming from that direction.

I'm going to stop there, there are other lighting confusions, but otherwise the picture is absolutely gorgeous.

i want to read this right now!!!! oh love the art too

immaboreddude responds:

Glad you like it man :)

Lovin' what ya got here. What's the comic about? I might be interested.

immaboreddude responds:

the story is a little bit complex but i'll try to explain it :D
during the creation all the demons were trapped in hell but every certain time some of then scape for hell for trying to obtain the archangel sword the one used to kill the devil but only the goberment knows about. enyway the goberment send a elite group to the hellgete zone in case if they need to blow up the gate the demons or corrupted are made from dark matter the diference is that dark matter can change the structure of the world. ok so the demon that escape make it to enlarge the glitch in the hellgate so that more corrupted can escape form the gate with more corrupted outside of hell they can easyly track the sword.

at some point they manage to open the hellgate and the hole world went to hell.

ok so Remington is the leader of the bomb squad and one of the survivor from the blackout prevention team that were slaughtered that day by the devil.

this is just a small fragment of tthe story behind the hellgate but this will give you a preview on how the story goes XD
