Well well friend good to see Fallout 4 has not completely eaten you, yet. As for school, what did you expect? Seems your worms and all have mutated from the high rad from the game...time to get more practice in...and for the background reference from below, yeah background practice is nice but sometimes not needed. Discression is your part. And you did okay here. Later...

Yeah, in my latest piece with the christmas worm I did a small and simple background. I obviously like it way beter than just white.
Maybe I'll do that from now on. Just simple backgrounds. They don't need to be detailed or big. And, I like to put the focus on the worms more.
But if the worms interact with their surroundings, then of course I make it look a bit better, lol.

Pretty good for a simple goofy image. Excellent details on the worms helps convey the very important message of 'NYAH!'.
The background is pretty straightforward, although the focus is on the worms themselves. For that I can't really fault you. Should you ever revisit this piece however, it would be a nice touch to add a more elaborate background and some more confused worms.

Yeah, since I didn't draw since October I kinda just wanted to draw some worms. This took me around 3-4 hours. So I decided not to spend more time on a background.
I should do that more though because I really need to learn how to draw decent backgrounds. I kinda leave those for full comics though.. :p
