This is like awesome!
Man, I want to sit a fire like that. Makes me wax nostalgic, thinking back to when I was a kid in Michigan and my folks took us up Mackinaw City, we'd buy some pasties, and then eat them that night around a campfire at my aunt and uncle's camp. Really takes me back. Thank you simple little line drawing man in front of fire, you made my day!
He's not going to listen, nor are the staff. This guy is a bot controlled by NG, and this art piece was a test entry to the portal by the bot. Get over it, nobody's gonna hear you.
The first drawing on the art portal looks like it would be the first drawing on the face of the earth.
why is it fair you can draw this stick man ( one rule broken ) that was stolen from cave men ( two now ) and if i drew a pile of rocks you would delete it?! seriously thats not really fair. and these cheap robots dont control themselves they dont write stuff or draw OR do this the staff does. Its a very lame idea if you ask me.

Well, it IS pretty simple, but it got this feeling, and style. Actually, I think it's even better than all these unscouted MS Paint -works (nothing personal)
I don't think this style should go to ultra-complicated with all the complex details, (although eg. Adonihs draws great stuff) this has it's own style.

It's simple, not too harsh on the eyes, and yet it has a certain contrast to it that is unnamable. Elegant and great.

I like how simple it is. It sort of looks like a primal, primeval stone carving. You can really sort of feel the lonliness of the dude.
However despite it's style, It could still use more stuff, maybe a backround.
I believe it was brilliant. The simplicity is just so beautiful. As that one man sits alone, by himself, searching for his lost memories.
As this IS the first art portal submission, it shows evolution. From the most simple drawing, to the best masterpiece. This, my friend, is the best masterpiece. It show's how things start from something small and end up huge, Like the Behemoth.

i like it its simple
If you stare at it long enough you start to appreciate it. It's a very simple drawing but it just gives off an artistic feeling. Nah, I can't really explain it. Overall, it's pretty fun to just observe.
this is the first bit of art in the portal so it's like a cavemen drawing. but really it was just drawn in 10 seconds for the art portal so they can scout him quick then log into the account and scout themselves then scout people.
I like it, I really like it. It really had a sense of symbolism to it. Being the first art submission, and the account under development, represents evolution. From something small, modest, to something large, everyone being involved.
Some times it's the things most simple that's also some of the best.
I know it's the first piece of..."art"... to the portal, and your the monitor bot for this portal, but please, at least put some effort into it. I know a lot of people agree with me, and for some reason others think it's "brilliant", but I myself think it's crap.
By the way, I also think abstract paintings aren't art. Just saying.

It frustrates me that friends of mine who I consider great artists are not scouted because their work is not "art portal quality". Apparently this is. A pen sketch that could take any idiot five seconds. I don't care who made it, I don't care if it's the first submission ever. It is a piece of garbage. If the art portal had a blam-protect system, instead of the rather ineffective scouting system, this would not pass. As the art portal FAQ states "If you break the rules or simply submit bad art âEU" stick drawings, circles and squares, etc. âEU" you will be unscouted." A little bit contradictory since this is the "bot" that moderates the art portal.
This is definite not an art, that's something I would have made in 5 minutes with my regular paint program. I just found out a couple of minutes later, that this is a figure sitting at a fireplace.
Please work on decent ideas, this one would have a better place in the trash basket.

It´s only a stickman next to the fire and there isn´t even a background also it could have more elements like rocks or trees. I find it very simple.

Amazing piece of artwork here. I hate how people find it to be so.. primative. I understand it's just a simple drawning just about anyone could make, but the simplicity is what makes it astounding. Most people writing reviews are finding this almost pathetic. They need to realise the actual beauty of the picture itself. Good job, 10/10 5/5

I just realized that you were the first person to submit to the Art Portal. Huh.
This is really medicore... at first glance. You have to give it respect: it's the first piece of work to be submitted into the Art Portal (It's basically a Cave Painting; the first piece of art here to inspire and set an example for many years to come). So if you actually look at it carefully, it's a beautiful work.

This picture reminds me of the work of the late Pablo Picasso, being of an abstract nature. However, I find this to be somewhat of a attempted mockery by a mediocre artist to try and gain fame with very little effort. Normally you might receive a lower score, but you used a similar style to that of Picasso's Don Quixote, and I have too much respect of him to go lower.

I find it very interesting that I can tell that there's a man curled up infront of a fire holding his knees close to him even though the lack of detail. At first you wonder what the fuck is that thing. But once you look into it you can tell so much. You can even see were the man is looking if you look closely! It's like he's sitting infront of a fire and everything has gone to hell and then he sees you and says nothing. Kind of sad actually.
I mean, it's not great. Make it appealing and attractive by adding some more detail, some more color, and maybe (Just maybe) a little signature?
It looks way too minimalist...Is it a stick figure standing in front of a campfire?
More effort required, but otherwise, you get a 6.95/10.00.

But what do you expect, it's drawn by one of the bots. 10 for effort.
It's a pretty cool drawing, but let's face it; you can't bring out a metaphysical meaning of something that could be drawn by a 3 year old. I'm not saying it's meaningless, sure it's pretty cool. But this is why artist get the rep of being so out of it all. It's because people like you guys call this deep. The way you guys act, you might as well tear a drawing out of some depressed kid's notebook, frame it, and hang it next to the Mona Lisa. I have an open mind, just look at my art, but i don't translate everything into a metaphor. This drawing is pretty literal; a nice fire. It's a guy next to a fire. It's pretty cool, but it's not exactly what you'd call deep or fascinating.
I rest my case. =P

It definately makes me eager to go out on a camping trip. It somewhat reminds me of a high def cave drawing, it looks very creative. It looks even better when you dim the lights on it. Anyway, keep up the good work!
