I think they would have been neat with hetrochroma but its a hell of a thing to wake up too, think what the bed would look like if they had been asleep during this

Probably crushed at best and severely charred at worst. ^^
And the heterochromia was meant to be more of an in-between stage highlighting the change of the eyes - which doesn´t mean that I won´t consider using the effect on some other sequence or character in the future, of course.
