Infectus the Corruptor

Share

Reupload from my deviantArt.

Among the Twenty Primal Demons, Spawns of the First Evil, Infectus stood as one of the strongest, only second perhaps to his sibling, The Lawless.

Powers: Infectus could take hold of any part of a being, and corrupt, take control, or even destroy it. The putrid mass that gave form to it's body wriggled with tendrils to spread his venom, but it was the unseen tendrils that could cause the most damage, as those could pierece the mind, and even the energy within a being. Corrosive, the presence of Infectus was what most damage was dealt to the Sunguards.

Defeat and Aftermath: Even after The Lawless vanished, and his brethren were trapped, Infectus's power was still too vast to be contained and sealed, like the rest. In order to weaken it even further, the Sunguards performed a ritual to split it apart, and remove from it the most prominent of its source. Seven parts Infectus lost, parts that would become the Entities known as the Seven Deadly Sins. Weakened, and unable to maintain its vast form, Infectus was entrapped. But even after its inprisionment, Infectus's influence still slipped beyond its cage, as his tendrils of Corruption would come to affect beings eons after all of the Twenty were locked away, its presence the most prominent.
