Only one truly stood out as superior among the Twenty Primal Demons, the Old Ones spawned from the destruction of the First Evil. The creature that united both Evil and Chaos into its being, from body to mind to power. The Lawless was the greatest threat to Existence, but still a mystery among the mysteries of the primordial moments of the Cosmos.

Powers: What the true scope of its powers were is unknown, but just being seemed to be enough a threat for any other entity, aside from its brethren. Illex took a diminute form, one more close in height to a Sunguard, as a composite of wrigling tendrils that composed a twisted shape, never seeming to stay still, almost begging to be released, and the true form of the Demon is unknown. Spurting from its body, a member ending in a strange pointed stinger, which the creature regularly used as a means to directly dispatch any Sunguard that came close; but that did not happen often, for while lost in its own thoughts, the Lawless seemed to generate a field around it, a white void that was neither empty nor filled, and the less attention Illex gave its own ability, the more out of control it seemed to get, and anything near it would defy any Logic or Order of the Cosmos, and inside it, it seemed only the Demon could stand.
It's believed that the Void around the Demon was just the more potent form of its power, since it was the very presence of Illex, regardless of location or moment, that provided greater strength to its siblings, for the law-defying power generated made some of the Twenty even fiercer.

Defeat and Aftermath: There was no defeat, but there was no victory for Illex. A powerful feeling among all sentient beings on the Primordial Cosmos was the only notice to the Lawless's disappearence, and no other being, Sunguard or Primal Demon or other, was in its presence. What truly happened is unknown, but with Illex vanished, the other nineteen Primal Demons were severly weakened, forcing Infectus to take lead, but ultimately all of them falling to the hive of Light.

This reminds me of samurai Jack with Aku and his loyal servant.
