Crimson was a Chronos agent who helped in the extraction of the Guyver Units in the Relic discovered in Northern Canada. He hadn't been processed into a zoanoid (scheduled to be transformed into a Razell.)

But somehow escaped the Chronos facility with the units in a bag. He activated his unit on the way south to the border. When Chronos agents caught up with Eric he was cornered in an abandoned farmhouse until he revealed to the agents that he had in fact activated one of the units. He became a rogue factor to Chronos. Over several weeks and multiple conflicts Crimson still was at large in southern Canada. Chronos alerted its US Chronos agencies of this matter following which Chronos cells within the US government and military were notified.
Cornered in Vancouver B.C. Crimson was ambushed out in the open in downtown Vancouver where he lost the remaining 2 units amidst the battle. Eric claims to use the bio boosted armor only for personal gains and has no real quarrel with the Chronos Corporation and that he will only continue to fight with Chronos if they meddle with him or his interests such as family (questionable) and friends (questionable). He has still cooperated with the other guyver units (Cobalt: Haunting and Onyx: Cryptic.) to fight Chronos and disrupt Chronos operations. Because of these constants Chronos has classified him as High Priority HOSTILE
