A digital painting of a superhero I made up. I started this about a month ago, but because of school, it was hard to find the time to finish it.
So anyway, his name is Bombardier and he focuses on using explosives to thwart foes. He owns some robotic armor, including a chest piece and a helmet. The chest piece houses a small thruster in the back, allowing him to make quicker movements and suspended in-air dashes. The Helmet includes Night Vision, Scanners, Comm. Link, and a lock on system for weapons he will later acquire.

i love the whole mega man samus aran look. its amazing. but the whole butt and speedo type thing thing throws me off a little lol. oh and dont listen to that other dude. the head is a perfectly fine size.
So hes wearing a suit like samus, colored like megaman, and throws kersploding poke' balls... that my friend is a win.
Not perfect but a nice action Scene!

I really Love this but the only thing that disturbs me is that I think that the Head is a little Large. I know it's wearing a helmet but it's as bif as the hand. I'm just throwing it out there. Please don't kill me.

Nah, that's cool. I can see what you mean. It looks a little too big, but you did disprove yourself there. It is a helmet, and if ya read the description, it has a bunch of systems in there to assist them in their heroic ventures, so it makes sense to be a bigger helmet. Thanks for the feedback though!
Just awesome I give it a Ten & I don't think I've given that high a score before.
I just couldn't find anything I didn't like....
One more thing wouldn't the amount of collateral damage caused by a hero using bombs be more destructive than productive.
It's like giving Deadpool a never ending rocket launcher.

HA HA HA! I never thought of that, so good point. I just like bombs, so I wanted to make a super hero that uses them.

Great drawing, very creative, I've got no real beefs here. I have one thing to say though: I think it's a woman. The general figure, coupled with the fact that it seems to have breasts, or really just one, as far as this angle allows me to tell, it leads me to believe that "The Bombardier" is a woman.

Believe what you will, but that isn't a breast. It's just the armor. I understand it looks like a breast, but the armor just has a certain shape to it that looks like a breast from this angle.
Finally! I just love heroes that don't have any superpowers!
Although his ass is a bit tight.

This makes me think of the original NES picture of Bomberman, save for the fact that your drawing is much better than that NES picture (obviously). This is very well drawn. Keep that pencil in motion, pal.
I like the designs of the buildings, grenades and helmet.. but that spandex is kinda gay.. and it doesn't look like hes running since one leg is kind of cemented to the floor and grenade sizes vary...but hey im just a 200 pound burning hobo at the corner of the room

They're not running, they're jumping out a window, hence the broken glass. Plus it's a superhero, they're allowed to wear spandex.
loved it only prob is the spandex but it doesn't looks gay on superheros anyway :P
Picture really looks like it's been taken mid-action. For an original charachter, he does look like megaman just killed bomberman, though there's enough different so you can see it's not. Is there some kind of visual pun with the antennea on his helmet, like, beetle-y? Colours are vibrant but not overpowering. Backgroud is a little odd in terms of scale and perspective, though. Plus i'm having a hard time working out how big his grenades are meant to be.

The Antennae were a throwback to a superhero I made up last year, but never finished. He was based off a bee. I can see your issues with the background, and all I can really say is that I only loosely estimated the perspective of it. As far as the bombs go, if you look at the bomb closest to his left hand, and reference it to the bombs on his belt in relation to his right hand, you'll see that the bombs are actually quite small. But I can understand as to why they look off. Thanks for the good critique by the way! :D
its very well done, im impressed with the shade work and textures, the 4 points on his back reminds me of a character a friend created, they were for a bio-nano intergrated suit, whenever the person was either in their ship or in a stasis pod they would be connected into the thing like a computers motherboard, but its still well done i give it tops
I assume he is jumping out a window and throwing those bombs at someone. I have to wonder if that person is full human since he has those four little metal points on him. a bit funny with the detailed buttock. Very good shading, it looks so smooth, the lights for the buiding and grenade type thingy's are really amazing. I noticed that for adding the shine you added a brighter shade of it to the upper body then lower, was that cause of more shadow at the back and thighs? Very nice though

Heh, yes, they're full human, I just thought the back looked a little bland without something there, so I added those. I'm not really sure what they're supposed to be for yet though.
As for the shine, I wanted the more important aspects to stand out more, hence the reason the boots and the armor is shinier.
I've always envied people who can shade well, or draw at all for that matter. You fill both categories.
I think this character is so cool by the way that if you were to ever to make a cartoon about him, I would gladly do the opening title.
One thing I found weird though was that all his bombs seem futuristic and button detonated except for the one in his hand. Its got the fuse and is a little confusing.

I see where you're comin' from with the other bomb, but in actuality they would sport a multitude of different bombs. And although it's hard to see because of the background, there's actually a pin sticking out, not a fuse.

wow. when I look at him, he looks like how megaman should've. the name bombardier, sounds like when megaman is called the blue bomber. Coincidence

Ha, not really a coincidence. While drawing it I had the file titled "Blue Bomber," and then somethin' clicked in my head and I thought "Well shit, that's Megaman's nickname. " So I went with Bombardier. :P

and the name bother's me sounds a bit corny
but this isnt a comic portal its a art portal and the over all art/creativness of the drawing and city land scape u get a 6

Do you recall a spin-off the bomber man game series called "Atomic Bomberman?"
That kinda reminds me of that.
But I think Hasbro has "blamed" their iconic bomberman.
This guy needs his own game and movie.

Hell I'd say this could qualify for a real superhero. I'd watch a movie or whatever involving this character. The abilities are cool but not overcomplicated, which is valuable.
I would suggest making his tight spandex underwear into something a little more fashionable, but at the same time, the tight spandex underwear I suppose serves a good purpose of taking us back to the good old superheroes. When tight spandex short shorts weren't shameful. Oh how society has declined.
Anyway, right on, really hope you take this guy further and do more stuff with him. I would buy a Bombardier game, hands down. Best of luck to you.

Thanks for the good review! I'm glad to hear you think it would work as an actual super hero, and I think I'm going to start a web comic based off this character. I've already got some concepts for backstory and minor character development and such. So hopefully soon you'll be able to read the adventures of Bombardier! :D

The body is pretty similar to that of megaman, its awesome i say this kinds of art reminds me of movies which takes place in the future and the robbers would use super cool gadgets and ninja moves.

AH HA HA HA. Yeah, a lot of people mentioned that to me. I apologize for it's definition, but it could be a girl! I haven't revealed their secret identity yet. :P I know I referenced them as a guy in the comment below the pic, but I'm still considering what gender to make this character.

Heh, I've already got some minor backstory made up for the character, including what their costume looks like before they can afford the robotic armor. :D But I'm considering makin' a web comic or a series of flash cartoons based off this character.
This is pretty good, makes me wish I could draw better so I could put my made up characters on here, oh well. The skin tight suit seemed a little weird at certain areas though, but it was drawn perfectly. I like the helmet, reminds me of bike riders.
