Back in 2000 a show called The Big Knights (you might better know the work of the studio from Peppa Pig) hit Australian television screens. A year later I got my first PC and a copy of Flash and tried to teach myself how to animate based on what I could see in the show. I didn’t know at the time that the show wasn’t made in Flash, but it did a lot of very similar limitations (and generally used them for comical effect) to what I was running into with the program. Eventually the show disappeared from Australian television but I never forgot about it, and started re-watching it again today. Its not a show I ever hear anybody talking about, but the impact it had on me when I started to teach myself animation could not be understated. So heres to you Sir Borris and Sir Morris, and thanks for helping me come to grips with what has ended up becoming my career!
