That is quote a high amojunt of skill there. Shading is outstanding, and knowledge on anatomy is very visible.
Use of color contrast is also very nice, the blue to red is a great idea.
I'm not a fan of the background, however. It could have more detail, perhaps a city scene?
That is for you to decide, but without a detailed place for this character to stand, it leaves the image wanting.
Thank you for a thought-out critique (on a site where one-line "reviews" are too abundant). Yes, I find myself hating the background as well. I didn't put one in on this picture because any apparent skill at anatomy will be completely offset by my atrocious backgrounds. Currently, I'm practicing them. I will improve. I'll post the results.
