Here's my entry for Jazza's challenge of the month "The Legend of the Axe"

Work in progress link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CDH9dRpcc4U

Now I will explain the idea behind my drawing, so if you want to interpret it by yourself (which I advise you to do).... don't read the following :)

The main idea was to show a villain character that managed to defeat the Axe bearer (shown by the helmet pierced by a sword/knife on the bottom left) and who is in the process of turning the Axe into an "evil" weapon, shown by the alteration of the colour scheme on the bottom of the Axe, that became greyish with a red wire and red ring. The "infection" caused by evil can also be seen on the helmet, where the grey colour starts to spread from the sword/knife.

Another interpretation (that came to me after I was done with the piece :) ), can be that the villain character was the original Axe bearer, which could be shown by the fact that the helmet is pierced through the eye, and the character depicted is blind. Now he needs his Axe with him, but to keep using it he has to bend it to his evil will (shown by the change in colour scheme).

Please let me know how you interpreted it and if there's anything I should've done to convey my main idea better.

Any constructive criticism is super welcome :)
