Happy Valentine's Day! As my next piece, and also my 1 month drawing milestone (LOL), I decided to draw Enzo surprising Daphne with some chocolates on the way home from their workshop. I try to have a main goal for every official drawing, and this one was lighting and coloring. Everything from the character shading, hues, soft tones, and world lighting were challenges I constantly faced. You also may notice that I've played a bit with character design, especially on Enzo, who looks a bit different from the concept drawing. I'm not sure if I spent more time on the characters or background, but I'll thank the great Bob Ross for all those "happy tree" tips! Enjoy!
Welp.. what can I say.
I really like the art, both the back ground and the characters.
I have one problem, and that is not just you, it has begun to be common, even in professional animations. and that is when the background simply do not match the style of the image itself.
Both your characters and the back ground is really well made, so why not make them in the same style?
I would love to see a piece by you with the same style all the way through!
