Inspired by Ivan the Terrible, Ivan Berling is a real jerk. Boy howdy am I finding out how tough character design is. This is my first villain and he's already been through many renditions. He's supposed to be based after a Lynx, but I think I accidentally designed him too much like a dog/wolf. I had an earlier version that I may prefer more in future illustrations of him, but decided to land on this one for now.

BIO:

Ivan is what many would call a career military man. Ivan is always about the objective, the mission, the goal, and whatever it takes to win. He is respected, but not well liked by his peers, and loathed by his subordinates. Through many victorious battles over the years under his command, the King has built a trust with the General, and allows him to make strategic decisions as he sees fit. However, Ivan’s judgment doesn’t always come across as the most logical, as there seems to be a disturbing tone to his actions. Back when he was Commander, he had strong disagreements with Abram Cashmere in war strategy, and especially wasn’t a fan of any weak diplomatic solutions.
