As the plague spread throughout the home world, a team of approximately 150 scientist was sent to a desert planet with the hopes of finding the necessary components for a cure. It has been 20 years now and most of the home world's inhabitants have been consumed by the devastating illness. The team of now 179 people have abandoned the hopes of a cure and have decided to claim Planet Yestrem as their last hope for continuing their race.

This has got webcomic/series written all over it.
I like the art, however it seems the extreme dark rocks which are portrayed to be closer look more like the view is looking out of a cave, however since you can see the path it creates a sort of odd perspective-
That however is just me being extremely acute seeing as there is nothing else to critise lol, rest of it is amazing.
Which brings me to my next point... this sorta thing (authors comments back story included) would suit a webcomic/series perfectly. I am unsure on whether you've done that since I haven't read anything about you, but yeah, definatly look into maybe making a webseries sorta thing, the story is interesting seeing as it's only one paragraph and the art is superb.
Basically, awesome.
