I was really bored, and I wanted to practice animation. I remember one of my favorite animators on Newgrounds, Egoraptor, said he started out with sprites. I decided to give it a shot, and I think I did pretty decent for my first try. I didn't use a template, but I did use some of the frames from the original nyan cat as a guide. I didn't copy pixel-by-pixel. If you were to pay closer attention, you would see the details are very different. I don't trace and submit.

I love the ultra-ball touch! Very amazing for a first-time animator! I'm guessing the bubbles were guided by the frame-rate of the original's stars? Very smart, if so.

It's cute, the bubbles are original, really. But the pixels are off for it to be a pixel art portrait. Some corners should be dashed off, I can't put my finger on it though. Very nice for your first try, though, I give you props! You'll get better. Word of advice, try doing it without a guide next time.
