I had the urge to paint an environment, even though I couldn't resist jamming a magma elemental into the composition.

Dont know which one is beautiful the monster or the environment. You put in good focus tension of the monster it tells me that its coming.

I'm not sure you did it on purpose but this piece could have a meaning behind it the magma elemental burning the fields, could be "humanity" destroying the beauty that is nature and industrializing it, or you just drew a really badass fire thing burning everything. Either way, awesome.
