This is an art work based on my concept, "Cat Gangsters"
Hello People on Newgrounds.
My Names Fraser "FM Lil Garfield" McMillan.
I am at the moment a Full Time Student at Art School. My Main Interest is Cartoon Art and i always wanted to do Animation. Cartoons are my Life! I have been a member of this website for years now, have watched many cartoons that are submitted in the Flash Portal Enviroment, and always love the talent thats made a name here. Anyways enough Introduction more about this Charecter on Newgrounds;).
I have always been Drawing Cartoons through out my life, since Childhood times, and have taken much inspiration from here and there, my favorite Cartoon of all time is Garfield the cat were i get my nickname from:3 During my Early Teenage years i was suggested by friends of mine to make my own Cartoons and taking that to mind after years of filling in sketchbooks and drawing at The MSpaint programme my idea of a cartoon soon became named...
"Cat Gangsters"
Which is a Action, Adventure, Drama Genre, about Many cats that are stray, homeless, left out on the street, gets into drug dealing, extortion, racketering, pimping, thugging, and that makes the title lol.
A gritty look into the World of Organised Crime, as for the storyline i am still typing in my brains, lol
This cartoon i have been drawing for years i would like to turn into an animated seris and release episodes on newgrounds, and hopefully get a good name as a Cartoonist. but i won't plan to animate it, until i congradulate animation at university which is a top priority of my career path, so by then i animations i make will turn out good

I love the clothing, you sure do know how to color things, everything is so bright and colorful. The graffiti looks great and the cats are well drawn. You'd make a pretty great flash author, hell, you should pursue a career in this. Maybe starting out small by turning this idea of a comic series into a reality by making comics for a local newspaper. You could go far.

I thank you greatfully for your support for my art work, yes i have dreams to pursue a career in cartoon art and animation. your advice on how to kick start my carreer brings ideas on my mind. but in the mean while i put alot of patience and persisstance into improving my drawing skills and obtaining education qualifications at art and animation at college and university. But yeah i am going to put alot of thought into what you said in this review.

as always, you amazing me with the quality of your artwork. ever since you showed me this first image of cat gangsters i knew you were a born artist. i still can't fucking believe you made this picture with paint. it probably took such a long time to make. this gets my instant 5 good luck man. i know you will do great in the art portal. wow your my first art portal review. haha.

You used a lot of shadings and stuff, which made it look quite 3D.
The characters on the foreground could indeed be a little more 3D, nevertheless I like the pic very much :D
And all credit for making it with Paint!

Hey thanks for your support :D i now can view who you all view my art. i need to be more accurate with tones. But i am now done with MSpaint. GIMP 2.6 as we speak i have learned afew techniques of tones, like coloured black airbrush with moderate level of colour preassure, this method plus increasing the degree of colour lumiority (tones) at high numbers per layer of tone, i can now guarantee with more practice tones in future cat gangsters pictures will be perfected.

I liked this, clearly a lot of effort went into this. You definitely have some artistic abilities, but you should spend more time on it. The foreground and background are both drawn very well, but the characters I thought looked a bit too 2D.
Keep trying though!

well yes the tones haven't highlighted the charecters well enough, but i guess to level the quality with the background, just further. shades most importantly.
