....

looks like the uv will work fine...just watch the shoes...if you want to render later you may have a ll bit of problems there..... its ok...nice for a newb...maya could be annoying sometimes....try to render it with zbrush....thats a very cool software for modeling in 3D

hmm...

if this is your first time 3D modeling, then its OK. If you've done it before, then its pretty bad.

FleckoGold responds:

Yes, I'm a newb. Maya's a very tough program to master. A LOT of stuff to learn.

-Flecko-

nice

but looks a bit too simple like you're newbie in 3d. Did you use 3d before?

FleckoGold responds:

Yes, I'm a newb to 3-d. This be my first character model. And I prolly won't be getting into realism as I'm still very much a cartoonist in style. Bones and bone influence was tedious and I realized half way through that my proportions were off. On top of that, anything outside of modeling, I was very confused with. But hey, I love the experience, and better luck next time.

-Flecko-

ok

its ok, did you poly model this, in the leg area's doesn't look like
it has four side poly's

FleckoGold responds:

It is polys, and yes, they're all quads. Had to make sure of that in order to bring it in to z-brush.

-Flecko-

Did he steal that from Link? :P

Seriously, very well done! Flecko actually looks like he could duel with somebody, and win the duel, too!
