A digital painting from August.

This was an entry for a contest on deviantART, where you needed to incorporate some set lines into your picture (hence a conspicuous tree branch line and river flowing from the mountains) and I ended up with a sort of naturey scene. I was nervous about my choice to add mountains to the scene due to my struggles with them before, but I actually seemed to work out how to paint them so they actually did look like mountains. I used a few custom Photoshop brushes here and there, but it was mostly individual strokes of the hand making all the grass and tree/bush leaves.

My guess is this image took around 15 hours to paint, but that's only really an estimate.
