Rutilus Pentagram

Share

Now to explain this piece a little bit. Rutilus is an orginal witch character of mine and though she is one of my older original characters I kind of realized recently while trying to draw her, I did not know a lot about the whole Wiccans, witchcraft religion and belief system so I have been doing some research on it. I want to keep her true to the belief yet at the same time she is a flow blown magic bend witch that you see fathomed in movies and I still want her to retain some traits that make her my own.

In short I am simply redesigning this character of mine and I decided to start out small by drawing her full blown pentagram. I call it hers because in my little make of witches their spells and any symbol can be made more powerful if they take it and make it more of their own and of their own creation. It is mainly her signature color, red, and has symbols in it as if she had drawn and made them up that represent a certain thing.

The five elements in the corners of the pentagram going clockwise from the very top one are Earth, Wind, Spirit, fire and water.

The symbols on the outside of the pentagram but still within the circle starting from the very bottom going clockwise are Emotions, Decay-Corrode-Rot, Time-Continuance, Being-Essence, Rejuvenation-Health-Regen eration.

At the very middle of the pentagram represents Light-Day, Dark-Night.

But wait there is more! The two outer rings also have meaning. The inner one: Life The outer: Death.

So yeah, enjoy. <3
