Cyalue Water Dragon

Share

A bit short and on the stocky side of the many subspecies of dragon the Cyalue Water Dragon should not be taken lightly in any circumstances. It is not too swift of a swimmer with those a little less then streamline fins and not very fast on land with those short legs however with it is large five toed clawed paws it is very surefooted. Mostly these guys like to live where cliffs jet strait out into the air where land meets saltwater, and these kinds of cliffs where most animals would fall to a death these guys can run up them like a horse can across and open plane.

Now these guys cannot technically fly with those short wings though they can glide for a short distance above the water and under the water they mostly use those to power themselves through the water along with that large and powerful fanned tail. Its claws are used to grip and climb as well as grip onto prey. The long snout is a little more suited for catching fish but like a crocodile these guys will hide under the surface of the water and ambush prey on the shoreline. Their hide is more similar in shark in the fact if you rub it the wrong way you will cut your hand open but it make for a more effective swimming creature from less drag in the water.

Despite the all around predatory look I have discovered that these guys can and will eat plant matter making them omnivores. They eat seaweed, they will dig up roots and scourer areas for fruit and vegetables around their rive or ocean side territories, and occasionally in shallow water will carefully chew on and eat living coral though it is not their favorite thing to do.

Beautiful!

I lvoe the colour of the dragon. Very very striking!

FiraPhoenix responds:

Yeah, I love the color too, I almost started to color it a sort of murky greenish river colors but then I played with blue a little bit and got his. >w<

Wow

That is really beautiful, the way the colour textures blend in , and the fine details you've used. Really amazing.

FiraPhoenix responds:

Thank you so much. <3
