Leona's Combat Pose

Share

Well, I don't upload sketches to NG because... hmmm...

...

Now that I think about it... why didn't I...? Oh well, whatever...

Anyway, I think I'm gonna start uploading my sketches here as well, not just only on DA, because there's a lot of people who follow me only through this site, so I think I'd be leaveing them out of my intermediate updates between full pieces.

That's why I decided to upload this sketch today ^^ I'm practicing a little with poses in order to loosen up my characters a bit... And today is Leona's turn, showing off a little of her favourite fighting style, "Muay Boran".

Fate out!

Not trying to be that guy who isn't focused on the fact that its hentai but a "combat pose" on 1 leg never happens. The reason being is that theres little to no control over balance and thats pretty much the entire reason behind a combat pose.

Fatelogic responds:

1) I guessed that the movement lines were a pretty evident indicator of... well, motion. She's not "standing" in one leg, she's gaining momentum.

2) It's a real muay boran knee smash technique. I actually took it from a real live performance. They didn't seem to be having any trouble... I'm not one to argue with proof.

3) It's not hentai. It could barely qualify as ecchi, and even then the displaying or suggested arousing isn't intentional.

One word. Nice. (I don't know what else to say)

your on DA o.O, brb ima go find u XP

The sketch is awesome, but i have to agree with nitrum on the eyes. Almost all your characters have the same eye shape. Honestly i dont think its even a problem (and it probably isn't) but i would use sifferent eye shapes to describe different.characters. Its just my point of view. I may be wrong :p.
Drawing's still epic

Fatelogic responds:

Nah, you're not wrong, I tend to use the same eyestyle on most of my characters, but it's really a personal choice. For me it's not the "shape" of the eyes, but the expression that which gives a character a discernible personality. (Leona is mostly the frowning type, Aika's the wide eyed tranquil one, Nym's the squinted, sharp look, etc.)

I agree you need to post more sketches, there very well done.
