So this was the second B-52 I built, I just had to have one for myself after building the B-52D. I finished it about 2 years ago, AMT doesn't prioritize quality products so I found myself sanding, trimming, and filling just about the whole model. So when I finally got to paint, I ended up having a lack of patience and rushed it, which was okay for a while.
Up till a few weeks ago, I got tired of looking at the gunship gray/white camo scheme I had originally painted it in. So I went with a custom splintered version of the Vietnam pattern with dessert colors, took me about 3 days to repaint the whole plane, I like it a lot better this way. I ended up mashing decals from the kit along with Pyn-Up decals for a 1/72 B-17, hence "Mount N Ride", perfect nose art in honor of fictional Major Kong. This is also the first model I ever finished with a gloss clear coat, shines well...
