So this is the second time I've built this model, the first one ended up as a pool toy before I gave it a viking funeral. Wasn't exactly my best, I don't miss it, this model is hard to like. The kit itself was originally packaged back in the day as a motorized pool toy, not much for detail, still wish they included the motors. Also, it wasn't always packaged as the Missouri, sometimes they'd change the decals and the little plates that come with it for her sisters, its just that Missouri sells.

So this was basically me trying to do better and ended up deciding I'm probably going to buy a much bigger Missouri in do time so why stress out over this kit. Right off the bat, I chopped it to the waterline, regrettable as I will never get to play with it in the pool. I originally wanted to build her in the 1944 camo scheme, which made her easily distinguishable from the other Iowas. Scrapped that idea and decided to build her as she appeared on the day the Japs surrendered, and I did have the hull painted as so, but decided to take out an artistic lease and went retro Navy. Came out alright...
