STORY:
An ancient tree spends his dying days in a forest.
For him, time is strange and incomprehensible, days can feel like weeks, and seconds can turn into years of change and growth and death.
the tree lives in harmony with his surroundings, letting all forms of life live with him and take shelter amongst his limbs.
In most of his time, the ancient being will be residing mentally in the universe of dreams, exploring the infinite places within his consciousness.
however he will often open his tired eyes and observe his beautiful forest, happy in the fact that soon his time in this experience will end.
For the tree has witnessed entire colonies of creatures become wiped out in front of him, and has grown sick of the death and destruction that has become a cycle that seemed to begin when the strange and violent beings known as humans entered his forest.

Love it!!! There is so much detail done to this that even blowup as far as it will go on my screen, I still can't see everything that is going on. I like how your art flows together to be multiple things as one whole. I sorta wonder if this would actually look as amazing if it was in color.

There's such detail and it all works together and wraps itself around tree its an amazing drawing.
Two questions tho
1) What does the writing at the bottom of the picture and on the far left branch of the tree say? I have a kinda small screen so I can only sorta read um.
2) How long did this take? musta taken forever.....
it says "we think, which makes us different to everything else, if only the abiotics knew of their beauty"
