This is Broken Face profile pic, Broken Face is a character from my comic series Master Light, the Black Dragon saga.

Gerardo Aguirre was once a very important member of Mexican politics, a brilliant statesman with a high IQ and revolutionary ideas. His ideologies and intelligence eventually lead him trough his career at the point of even becoming a candidate for Mexico’s presidency, however, much of his proposals were found “inconvenient” by many other members of the government, which made them conclude that Gerardo needed to “disappear” as fast as possible.

Trough Gerardo’s lover; an attractive young woman named Elena Hernández, they sabotaged his car, causing the breaks of the vehicle to fail on the highway leading it to crash and fall from a cliff, the vehicle exploded in flames and Gerardo was presumed dead, although his body was never found.

Months later, when most people had forgotten the tragic accident, Elena Hernández was found brutally murdered in her house with the skin from her face ripped apart, weeks later several member of the government related to Gerardo’s complot were found dead this same way with no clue on who could had been the one behind the horrendous murderers.

A few months later, Gerardo Aguirre reappeared alive at the other side of the ocean on Dersus city as a complete different man; his face was totally disfigured and burned and he was no longer that visionary man he once was, now he was a crime lord known as “The Broken Face”, ruthless, merciless, sadistic and insane for power surrounded by evil men and deep into twisted business like smuggling, bank robbing, drug traffic, killing and many other vile things.

The Broken Face wears a mask made of human skin to cover his disfigured face; some said the mask is actually the ripped skin face from Elena Hernández, the woman who caused his downfall. Trough Dersus city people can find posters on the walls with the legend “Vote for Broken Face” as most of Dersus City old town & east docks are under his control. Gerardo is now one of the 3 main crime Lords who control Dersus City, there is no doubt, Gerardo Aguirre is truly dead, all you’ll find on him now is the Broken Face.
