About Equestria Girls

As you know I'm a brony, however I never reallly liked the whole concept of Equestria Girls, such bad sell out with a shameful Monster Hight rip-off.

However I didn't really paid attention to it and decided to just ignore it & pretend it doesn't exist, however after seing how many rabid bronies were defending this piece of crap, calling others "bad bronies" for not suporting it, raging over anyone critiquing the movie and even making up the story that HDX workers where going to quit because of the bad reaction (yeah, I didn't bought that, Equestria Daily lose all my respect for posting that obvius fake new), I decided to make this as a joke just to piss them off, and by judging the recations of many rabid bronies (specially on places like Derpybooru) this image indee dpissed off a lot of people, so I'm happy with it. :p

Alright. Prepare yourself. I'm about to speak my mind.

EQ was alright. I didn't enjoy the concept either, & I avoided it for awhile, but after eventually watching it, I found myself enjoying it. The ending was..... really strange, but whatever. Had a good lesson to it I suppose, & without it, we wouldn't have Sunset Shimmer. Or Sonata.

(Fucking tacos)

However, this isn't the point here.

I'm not about to debate whether or not it was a good move for Hasbro. I'm not about to argue with anyone, call any one "untrue", because that's not the way I remember things working.

I understand it's the internet. People are idiots on the internet. I'm not saying this is ever going to stop. What I am saying is that these people that would be idiots & argue over right & wrong are forgetting the base ideas of our fandom, & are therefore not a part of it. If someone is going to argue with their fellow brother or sister over something as simple & unchangeable as a decision made by the creators, then suffice it to say THEY are the one that is not a "real brony".

It's more than watching a show. It's the unity taught by that show, the idea of peace through general acceptance, & this includes acceptance that people have different ideas, that we disagree. This is how we advance.

3 stars for provoking thought. One star for the troll.

Love & tolerate, ladies & gentlemen.

while I was disproving the movie trailer, after seeing the actual movie, the movie itself has its own good lessons and it doesn't always have to be about ponies all the time. its about how friendship is supposed to exist everywhere and can overcome challenges even through space and time and dimensions or whatever.

i understand that the idea of humans is weird but it doesn't matter what medium is used, you don't need cute this or that as long as the message is conveyed.

if you wanna squabble that ponies are better than humans despite that the message was more important then u can keep your freedom of having your own opinion. but thats where you stand.

the movie as people said was just totally irrelevant to 'ponies' while some may argue that its a journey that Twilight took to go through an entirely different world that just isn't ponies for once.

I watched the movie as a movie not so i can bash at it for not having ponies in it (hardly having any ponies).

I sorta took as an in b/w coming of age for twilight and its also something to teach the audience that even if you are in a different world or going into a new school, friendship can still be found, friendship never dies, and friendship can always win and overcome.

while i can sympathesize with haters, hating is too mainstream and you're just pointing that the movie is nothing more than some fanservice and something 'extra' that we should just bash at just cuz it has MLP slapped on it and lacks ponies.

its not something that just has MLP slapped on it, just cuz it has MLP slapped on it doesn't mean its just about ponies cuz what they slapped is Equestria girls not MLP. MLP was just the headline to show its in the same 'brand'.

I dunno, you can't hate on such trivial things forever. people would say ugh if the movie starts having a human SERIES i wouldn't watch. well thats the thing. there wudn't or ever will be. its impractical. there's plenty of ponies to enjoy in future seasons to come. don't get your feathers ruffled just cuz they crossed dimensions. honestly its just immature depending on what kind of hate you have. but i digress, i can understand since i was also frustrated as well. but just because the characters weren't ponies they still had the same heart. we were supposed to relate to the ponies and now the personalities and ponies are projected into humans and now people just hate that.

that just shows who the real bronies are and the rest are just clinging onto their pony dolls.

Evil-Rick responds:

While I understand some of your view, your whole arguments is all wrong, people has liked & accepted the ide aof humanize dversion of MLP in the fandom since the begining (there is a series of fanmade comics fetauring Twilight & crew as humans in some sort of mahou shojo take on the story that I like and would recomend any day), what people hated is the fact that the MLP universe in this version became the overly used & overly cliched highschool scenario and the designs of the character is obviously a Mosnter High rip-of rather than an actual good & unique design for humanized ponies.

None complaine don the movie message, but then again, is not that special or unique and it's pretty much the same message you cna find in any other high school scenario movie.

Also, over the human thing, while I don't critice your view, don't forget something, this is the MLP movie everyone was expecting since seaosn 1 wich in the end turned out to be a My little PONY movie with barely any PONY on it. It's like making an X-MEN movie without any mutants, you better expect for people to be really upset about it.

As I said, people only defend this and claim it to be good becaus eit ha sthe name MLP on it, it it was a brand new franchside everyone would agree it's bad and lame and pretty much like teh Bratz movie, think about it, both movies have teh exactly same moral message, why then everyone claims the Bratz movie suck and yet the same people defend EG as a great movie? Whats' the difference between the two films?

i also agree. before seeing it, i had extremely low opinions of it and thought the entire concept was absolutely terrible. after a while i decided to check it out to see what the hype was about and it managed to be much worse than i was expecting. it removed much of what made the characters good role models, flash sentry is a completely putrid existence, and there are sooooo many more things wrong with it.

Evil-Rick responds:

The funny part is; if the movie ha dnothing to do with MLP and it was a whole new franchside, everyone would say it's terrible, it there are people defending it, it's just beause it has the name "MLP" on it.

As a fellow brony I agree. The art is great, too. EQ girls is for perverts and 4 yr olds

Evil-Rick responds:

The funny part is, Equestria Girls is literally everything the show was praised for not being; Extremly girly, cliched, simplistic, un-original and dedicated entirely to a young female audience (even when Lauren Faust stated that the show was intended for all crowds, both young and big, female and male).

It's sad to see most of the brony fanbase has moved into a sad fanboysm cult where they praise and throw their money at anything hasbro made with the franchside, not mattre how bad it is.
