Kinda cliche with the whole light/dark thing, though I personally like the soft, ethereal feel I achieved. I got kinda lazy on the shadow-girl... Not to be preachy, but it represents the confining nature of female gender roles (at least I hope it does).

Also, title stolen from God, AKA Gustav Klimt.

I like this =)

Just like your other picture, I am impressed with this one too. It may be the fact that they contain a same sex relationship, but it is amazing.
Please keep it up.

In retrospect...

It looks as tho dark wants the kiss as well, as tho it wants to see what its like to be good and light, but knows that it would mean the destruction of them both. The good princess wish's that she could be bad and take that kiss, but she needs to be the princess while dark looks as tho she wants to be the princess for a day.
It seams like this is more than light and dark, good and evil, but also rich and poor, the princess wants to be able to stay with the poor dark, but knows she can't or else sacrifice her position. Kind of deep.

It is a good pic

But if light and dark were to kiss, wouldn't that be te end of existance... The two can never be unified.

everydaycombat responds:

Interesting thought. But they aren't necessarily unified here--at least not through the most intimate sense, the kiss itself. The girl on the right is certainly desirous of the darkness, but her role as the feminine princess keeps her from acquiring the "kiss." All she can do, instead, is to admire the dark side while remaining in the light.

Yes, that was pretentious.
