Uh-huh. I drew this graphic a couple days ago while brainstorming for some emblems for the different races of 1,002,012 C.E. I hope you all find it as aesthetically pleasing as I do. ;)

The Protovoid are pan-dimensional, daemon-like entities, brought into our universe in full by a Human quantum experiment that created galaxy-sized rifts in time and space. Although they only fully came into our descendant's awareness recently, carbon dating on certain structures reveals them to be 150 BILLION years old, over 10 times older than our own universe. For this reason, they are highly mysterious, and advanced far beyond even our descendants' understanding. Their motives can only be left up to pure speculation.

However, although the Protovoid are enigmatic in most of their ways, one thing is certain: they are extremely, extremely hostile towards Humanity. When not outright destroying entire settlements in days just to build their mysterious structures, they will poison a sapient creature's mind with a foul corruption, startlingly similar to most religions of forgotten times. Those affected will become blind with faith and devotion to their Protovoid, and seek to destroy all who dare oppose them. It is theorized that the Protovoid played a major part in religious mentalities all along. More studies needed.
