Awesome job this is first time seeing pokemon gore and I always wanted to see it when ever playing game but never tried to look for it lucky find nice creative idea!

So yeah,I figured that pokemon need something more fulfilling and varied to eat than ambiguous brown food-pellets and tooth-rotting pokeblock sweets. And there are several times during the anime and stuff where you see them eating or referencing meat, despite a lack of cows, chicken, pigs and other livestock, so you can interpret that however you like...
