Dry Battery

Share

So there's been a little confusion as to exactly what the point is, and frankly I'm not really surprised.

Basically when the internal battery in a GBA Pokemon game dries up, it says "The game will still be playable, but clock-based events will no longer occur." In reality this just means that things like sales at the department store and outbreaks of particular Pokemon won't happen, but I figured it could be reinterpreted as time freezing throughout the game, which is either totally awesome or totally terrible for the trainer.

I know it isn't strictly what the dry battery thing does, but I can dream ;D

My Ruby's actually run out of battery now. I think that's why none of the previously fought trainers want rematches, which is going to make level-grinding on my new playthrough exceedingly difficult. :/

I like how the hands came out in panel 3, I had to get my brother to model his hands for a minute because I suck at those fancy-schmancy gestures and stuff.

Also I seriously need to get more ink refills for my markers, most of them are drying out now. But refills are so expensive... ;_;

*facepalm* wow... XD DOn't know why, my mind just exploded...

holarious. my ruby has a dead internal battery so its kinda ironic!

It's totally Ruby's out of character in this comic strip. It might be better if it's Gold you're portraying about. Well, a parody's a parody. Good job on showing how it flows especially on the third scene.

if you have opportunity, take it; a smart player would use everything to his or her advantage.
To a certain point however, be cautious towards a constant easy track of success less you fall victim to your own procrastination.

EpicArtifex responds:

In reality it's actually more of a bad thing than a good thing, since it stops the trainers from rematching with you, and forces you to train on wild pokemon, which doesn't really cut it. Consequently all my 'mons are pretty underpowered.
