Goddess Nyx

This piece was done for imagineFX competition, the theme was "Ancient greece" I painted the goddess Nyx, goddess of the night. It came in second, I was beaten by one of the digital masters, Dr. C. M. Wong(aka. Koshime), he deserved the 1st place.

Mesmerizing...

Just...wow.
First, I clicked on this because the smaller picture had a lovely sun.
I love how the goddess's hair becomes the waterfall and disperses into the night sky. Then when I saw the night sky and the city underneath, I was just blown away! Well...maybe not, it's too peaceful to blow me away, mesmerized, I should say. I generally love the view of a city at night and this one is beautiful! I can't quite find the words to express the sensations that looking at this piece brings. If that night view was sized right, I'd love to make it my wallpaper haha
I love the idea and congrats on getting the second place! I hope you draw more things like this!
