The music adds a lot. Did the song inspire the art, or was the song chosen later? Regardless, this is a good work. The background is done really well. I was going to say something about a city having more lights, but it is actually better this way. There is no distraction from the robot. The robot's predicament is large enough that he has forgone repairs; he is not having any distractions either.

a little of both. sometimes whenever im working on a piece, especially if it revolves around a particular feeling, I try to remember a song that evokes that feeling. But then as I listen to it I try to find a bridge between the feel of the song and my own perceptions
