Reminds me heavily of MAD Magazine. But I see NeNe's arm and knife were unfinished.

I love the concept, and the colors are pretty too. I dont get the background tho, was it temporal? and some stuff i noticed: nene doiesnt look asian enough haha, and pico's stance is kinda bland... unless they were suposed to be like posing for the school camera or something like that, that would explain the background too :)
you should have finished it and posted it, it would had won and i would had bought the calendar BOOM JUS LIKE DAT.

What's funny is that even though they are all three from different type, they all have an african face morphology, which, in my opinion, is the best part of the picture.
I love this piece. However, I'm saddened at the fact it was never submitted. I'm also saddened by a lot of the 2010 calander choices, but I did nothing to contribute so I shouldn't complain. As far as the issue with the scene looking static... I believe the biggest thing I noticed is the posture of Pico & Darnell. Nene looks great & she is flipping out trying to get out Pico. However, Darnell is restraining her with absolutely no effort, it's like Nene is using him as a prop to hold/restrain herself. Same with Pico. If you were to stand as if you were holding a gun to someone, observe how you would stand (knees bent, legs spread, etc.). With just a hair of tweaking, this could be a work of perfection. I would pay you for it, honestly. Consider it, please ^-^ cause I would like to hang this in my home.

what happened to Nene's right arm ? Seem you have not completed it yet, anyway it really impress me after many cartoon Pico on Newgrounds.
This is so awesoe it and pico looks like that one kid from MadTV and i also love how Darnell is holding Nene while she tries to stab Pico and also this is the best art i've seen in a while grat job!!!!

i love how ya did pico.. very MAD magazine it looks great, i loved how ya made darnell look like buckwheat too. nene's face is angled down a bit much and her and bucky's arms need to be revised.. personally i woulda used a cool color for the background to make the pink in nene's dress and the orange in picos hair pop more.. you got awsome talent dude and i hope ya take my 2 cents into consideration.. also by cutting out th entire bottom half of the painting could help with the stiffness. anyway dude i love yer stuff keep doin watcha doin...
well let's say, 3 points for the drawing and 3 points for the color.
but, to be constructive, there's still 3 points left for the dynamic of the positions.
it doesn't look like moving enought.
actually, I've just watch all your arts here, on newgrounds, and it's the story of it all.
you got the muscles, you got the clothes, you got the faces (even if we put them all green, we could say what ethnic group they are lol)
that's awesome work, I just think, you gotta find a way to give it a motion.
and the last point it's just that I'm not a fan of the wallpaper lol.
but anyway, great stuff, keep it up, keep improving ^^

Thanks for the honest review. I actually didn't finish it for the reasons you listed. The poses were really static and the entire thing just looked boring. Maybe it's the straight ahead angle. Composition is one of my biggest weaknesses.
