Zeman Bastogne Colored Pencil

Share

Well, its about time I started drawing other characters of my story besides Cross.

So meet Zeman Bastogne, an officer on Cross's battle-cruiser.

Brief history/backstory:

Rather reclusive to the public, Zeman is best known for his earning of the medal of honor. Using himself as a human shield against a rocket, protecting thee fellow wounded soldiers. The injuries to Zeman were severe, almost severing his right arm and all but disintegrating his right shoulder.

Though severe, he did recover from his injuries, but his right arm was limited in use, being almost completely rebuilt from shoulder to elbow with titanium, artificial bone, and screws. For his bravery, the army didn't let his wounds go unattended, providing Zeman with a means to regain the lost mobility and use of his battered right side by means of a new technology, called Bio-Assist.

His Bio-Assist pack rests on his right shoulder and, with the help of gears and actuators, allows his arm to be fully used again. The unit is plugged into an artificial insert into his nervous system, where it reads the motor commands to his right arm and adjusts its servos and actuators as needed, up to 3,000 adjustments per second. When in a civilian situation, Zeman sheds the device, but in military circumstances, Zeman relies on the device to keep him on par with his peers and his enemies.

After his injuries, Zeman forced himself to become a "Southpaw" or a lefty. Altering his favorite weapon to suit his new orientation, Zeman proved that the injuries to his dominant arm were not to harm his battle-prowess.

After 6 years in the Marines as a forward sniper, Zeman moved to the experimental Airborne Navy Division, to join his old friend, Cross. Zeman has been with the battle-cruiser Charlotte and her captain Cross since the 1st Airborne Navy's inception. Almost 2 1/2 years ago...

Story

electronic funk u should make a flash or a video or sumthin.this is the making of a great flash or story

ElectronicFunk responds:

Well, I am going to be publishing a web-comic, and a web-comic hosting site shortly. The whole story has /mostly/ been scripted out and it is all written down. The comic, so far, is planned to be roughly a 8-12 year run with 1,500 - 2,300 pages.

I'll be using my characters and my story for flash eventually, as I learn to use flash at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, which I'm currently attending.

Thanks for the reply, and the favorites, bud. Keep checking back, I'll be updating constantly.
