12 x 12 acrylic on wrapped canvas. 2011. Had tried several other concepts for the Glider Girl album and realized I was over-thinking the whole thing. (I do that a lot.) Once I told myself to make myself happy, I went with my preferred colors for a south Florida atmosphere and voila, 3 hours from furious start to calm completion.
If you can imagine gliding speedily but safely through the sky, good, because that's what this is about.
Again, I left out the facial details on purpose. The face isn't what's most important here anyway. The hair and body shape tell you it's a girl. The importance is the energy and movement in the air around her.
Enjoy!
EFG
