So I'm really not much of the party type myself, but when Draw With Jazza had the "Epic Arty Party" contest of the month I had to get to thinking. I wanted to avoid any stereotypical party scenarios and go with something really special. I also wanted to represent every type of artwork I could think of, from music to sculpting to drawing and painting, to even a bit of paintball.

At the end I decided to go with the theme of an "Artists' Masquerade" but then I had these ideas of floating crystal islands and misty skies, it then donned on me that this could be a dream of some sort.

Being a storyteller at heart I decided to go with the story of a lonesome artist seeking inspiration and companionship, when they find themselves in their bed after another fruitless day of attempt after attempt, they awaken to find themselves in a lucid dream with this being the first thing they see.

Overall, 300+ layers, ~3 weeks of work, 1 blue screen that wiped out a week of work, and so much of "The Song of the Dragonborn" on loop I considered uninstalling Skyrim. This is my labour of love to the community and to the medium of art itself.

Something I really enjoyed was how I ended up improving, even if just slightly, from this experience, I tried out some new things and hey, I like it. What do you guys think about it?
