Hi, I used to follow a lot of eyes tutorials (there are great tutorials for eyes on the web), until I create a set of brushes for eyes. Now when I need a very detailed eye I simply paint the eye with a black brush, transform the layer to fix it with the character, color it with a overlay layer, and fix the tone and the lights with a normal layer.

Maybe somenone think that is a kind of cheating, but It take me a lot of time painting my scenes. Its funny how many people who blame about brushes dont waste more than 2 hours in their paintings and claim the others about cheating. Anyway that is the secret.

I painted this last summer, I was learning to use non standard brushes and trying to get dramatic lightings, I suppuse this take me over 7 hours, I´m a very slow painter.
