Dammmm i think i will just withdraw my entry now. I love your sculpture
Growing up, I was always enamored with the sculptor Stephen Hansen ( www.stephenhansen.com )and his whimsical paper mache creations. He seems to capture the silliness of day to day humanity in a way no other sculptor has. When Jazza announced his Style Swap competition, I thought of no better style to emulate than his.
For this month's entry, I decided swap the famous Greek Discobolus sculpture with a Stephen Hansen-esque paper mache creation. I call this guy Dishobolus because, instead of launching a discus, he is launching one of his wife's dinner plates.
This sculpture stands about 16 inches tall and took well over 30 hours to create. He is paper mache painted with acrylic. A work in progress photo can be seen here - http://www.newgrounds.com/dump/item/a332217497021015737c9f5af62a73b0
Good luck to all who enter!
