woah! a nice and clever idea for an enviroment...
the underbed....
thankfully i never ventured too deep into my underbed, and when i did, i found all my lost items; socks, magazines, pencils....
if i went any deeper, perhaps i could end up the realm of lost memories and faded echoes....
good work!
the house looks atmospheric and eerie, yet in some way, slightly cosy and familiar.
the (dark) evening sky with the clouds, and the huge, barren wasteland around the house, with the combination of the creepy house, and of the (strangely) too bright red mailbox, all add up to create a powerful image, an image of fear and creepiness, fear that sometimes gets combined with a feeling of safety.(thanks to the house, that looks quite cosy).
great work, i love this drawing as well.

Location: Ignored Friends Den
A sub-dimension located under every bed in existence. Wasteland of dust, lost items and people, dirt and monsters. Dark and dangerous. Anything falls in - but nothing gets out.
Now guess what? This is practicaly a screenshot. Yup. Its not artwork. As a player - you see this from ingame. Just in Fisheye-distorted perspective. And its animated. Clouds move, fog slowly crawls around the house. Eyes are blinking in the Dark windows.
A painting - that became alive.
BTW: If you take a look at the sky you will see the bottom of the bed through the clouds. The wooden planks.
I hypothesize that it is this Underbed where all the missing socks go as well

"...but nothing gets out" ...except the cat. My cat always manages to go to Underbed and return unharmed. She refuses to teach me this magic, though. Her ways are a mystery. :)
Cats are exception. "Devils walk through Hell unharmed".
