Isn't it odd that the relief of safety is also a form of subtle disappointment? A sense of ominous doom can make you feel so alive. I'll be having nightmares about that picture on the wall, and I'll plagiarize those nightmares if I ever write a novel. That saloon looks perfect in that it doesn't protect you from suffering, it aids you in becoming indifferent toward its imminence. It makes me look forward to laughing in the face of a manic cobra.

Location: The 13th Saloon.
No one really knows a lot about The Worldhome. Mostly because barely anybody managed to walk in and get out, to share a story. Every kind of "room" type servers different purpose. Some kinds should be avoided, others might provide shelter and protection. But all of The Saloons are a Russian roulette. You are never winning anything. You are just "Not losing". Sounds familiar...?
