From this synopsis, Dreyland seems to have a simple story that will be executed well. I like the fact that Drey is weaker and thus needs to work harder then other warriors.

Hi,
First I would like to explain what is DreyLand. DreyLand is a platform game in a fantasy world mixed with vikings culture that I really want to create someday.
The character you can see here is Drey, the main character of this adventure.
Drey is a boy without any talents regarding to the fight even if his father, Khalden, have teach him the basics of combat with axe and sword. He have to redoubling effort if he want to do the journey around his island and defeat Corvalt, the viking taken by a strange evil spirit who have captured the souls of all the villagers of the village of Khalden except Drey.
I will not say more in order to not spoil the story :)

There is a big and complex side story in the DreyLand world and to set it up correctly and specially in order to bring it clearly without any lack of understanding, I need a basic hero that will discover everything from scratch in the same time as the player.

Wow, this is good. I like the design, he looks..really ordinary lol which is great. As you say, he is a boy without any talents and nothing really stands out about him at all. That's not meant to sound cruel or anything just that its cool to see a game that shows the hero's journey from the most basics of origins. Just a small town kid, without any real combat experience. Thrust into some extraordinary circumstance of survival. Anyway, real nice work man!
