2007. Pencil on large paper (2.5'x3.5' or something close). This was high school, my art teacher set up all these plants and had us sketch 'em out, on regular-sized sketchbooks. I worked really hard on that sketch, & I was sooo happy when I finally finished, because FUCK plants have too many leaves. So I take my sketch up to the teacher. He looks at it, nods approvingly, looks good blah blah...Then he's like, "Now I want you to draw it...on this." And pulls out this freakin huge piece of paper. Huge compared to my tiny sketch at least. I'm like oh god. So I do it, finish it up in class, take it back to him...Then he says, "Now I want you to detail the burlap sacks draped under the plants." O.O So I take it home, and finally, maybe 30 minutes of pure line by line by line of burlap, it's complete. So that is the story of this piece.
(Also pardon the shitty pixely-ness, damn crappy digital camera)
