The Lost Woman

Share

I keep having nightmares of a pale Victorian looking woman wearing a black dress with puffy sleeves. She'll just show up in the house and it's always in my bedroom. One time she just stood and screamed. Another nightmare her dead body was on a bed and when I went closer to her she sat up and started frantically touching me like I was being frisked. The other night she just stood at the doorway and kept saying "I know how you feel" and proceeded to take two steps forward and step back in an eerily fast pace until she got closer and closer to my bed. She'll never look at me. Her arms are always out like she wants to grab me and her eyes are always up. It's like she's blind??? Who knows...Thankfully my brain somehow learned a safety mechanism that lets me know when I'm stuck in sleep paralysis and I start whimpering until my fiance shakes me awake. He always wakes me up right before anything bad happens.

But really why do I have so many damn nightmares? I find them more interesting that frightening I just wonder why I have them more than most people. Brains are weird.

It's fantastic

wow i wish we knew what to tell you... to have these kinds of dreams can be really hard to interpret ....maybe a Past, Present or a Supernatural thing is going on... who knows..... as for that i could feel eerie looking at this like she was looking for something but need to feel it... i wish you can figure this out and that you have better and more colorful dreams ahead of you

Hmmmm....

This is a very good piece of Gothica art. I can imagine her being the stern/strict Headmistress of a boarding school or manor. And the background has that nice "she's coming from the shadows" as she reaches for you/the viewer.

Hmmm..... "kept saying "I know how you feel" and proceeded to take two steps forward and step back in an eerily fast pace until she got closer and closer to my bed.". Maybe you subconsciously "feel" like you try to keep going forward, but setbacks in your life keep dragging you back a pace just when you thinks you're FINALLY getting ahead?

Richly dark art right here and sweeter dreams in the future!
