My O.C. Lorne

Share

The broken painter Lorne, whose wife died 20 years ago when she left in search of a cure for his illness, remains emotionally trapped in his snow globe home which has had all of its color and livelihood wither away. However, when Cirrus ventures to Lorne's snow globe while on his adventure, Lorne is surprised to see color once again.

Nice work on the candle details, you really seemed to get the melty/goopy effect to show!
Anatomy and facial details seem pretty good as well as the clothing shading.
The only real thing I can point out that could be tweaked slightly would be Lorne's left leg.

His left thigh is just a little bit thinner than his right thigh...but then again, I don't know what illness he has. For all I know he has degenerating muscles in his leg, in which case it makes sense. :P

Other than that I don't see anything else wrong with this drawing, good work!

doublemaximus responds:

AH yes I noticed his leg too after I posted it! I couldn't tell if it still looked right from the angle or what, but yeah I should have paid more attention, haha. Thank you!

I love the way you design your characters. Original, but could it be some influence from Lumière from The Beauty and the Beast that I see there?

Anyways, great job as always.

doublemaximus responds:

I didn't intend on him to have any influence from Lumière but I definitely see what you mean! Thank you very much!
